  1. Help center

    Guides updated for the free plan, plus a new Restore a purchase guide

    • New guide: Restore a purchase. It covers the difference between Google Play being unreachable and there being no purchase to restore, so a paying user is never told their subscription is gone when Play is simply down.
    • Existing guides re-checked against the free plan and the 30-day trial, with refreshed screenshots.

  2. Browser extension

    GBpass in Microsoft Edge and Brave

    • The extension is listed on Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
    • Brave has no store of its own and installs the Chrome Web Store build. The Downloads page now walks through it step by step.

    New design for gbpass.net

    • The website was rebuilt with a lighter layout, self-hosted fonts and no third-party scripts. Nothing on the site loads from an ad or analytics network.
  4. Browser extension Version 1.0.2

    Chrome Web Store listing

    • The GBpass extension is available in the Chrome Web Store.
    • The listing now says up front that you need a GBpass account, created in the Android app, to sign in.
    • The popup grew from 480 to 560 pixels tall so item lists need less scrolling.

    • Fixed an out-of-memory error at sign-in on older devices.

    • The app now targets Android 16 (API level 36).

    First release of the browser extension, on Firefox Add-ons

    • Your vault and autofill in Firefox, signed in with your existing GBpass account. Everything is decrypted in the browser; the extension talks to the same end-to-end encrypted sync as the app.

    Sign-out and responsiveness fixes

    • Fixed being signed out unexpectedly when the app made several requests to the server at once.
    • Fixed an app-not-responding error on older devices.

    • Added a Create new password tip on the registration screen and on item pages.

    A free plan for everyone, lower prices, and 20 GB on Personal

    • Every account is now free to create and free to keep: unlimited passwords and passkeys, sync, sharing, autofill and 250 MB of encrypted storage, with the same encryption as Personal.
    • Guest mode retired. Every user has an account and the full zero-knowledge model; there is no lesser tier.
    • Personal lowered from $29.99 a year to $23.88 a year ($1.99 a month billed annually), or $2.99 month to month, and its storage raised from 2 GB to 20 GB. Attachments up to 100 MB each.
    • A 30-day trial of Personal starts with one tap. There is no plan picker to get through first.
    • New look based on Material 3 Expressive, with edge-to-edge display on Android 15 and above.

    Character counters and autofill hints

    • Character counts on every text field.
    • A message now explains when Chrome or Brave has third-party autofill turned off.
    • Intro screens laid out properly on phones and tablets in both orientations.
    • The back button is disabled while sign-in or registration is still loading, and signing out is cleaner.

Bug-fix releases with nothing you would notice are left out. Android version numbers match the Google Play listing; the browser extension is versioned separately. If something changed and is not listed here, tell us and we will add it.
