Who makes GBpass.
GBpass is a password manager made by Greatbold, a software company in Indonesia. A product that asks you to hand over every password should be willing to say who is behind it.
The company
GBpass is built and run by Greatbold, legal name PT Gene Besar Software, a company registered in Indonesia. Work on GBpass began in June 2024. This website went up in March 2026, the Android app reached Google Play on 13 May 2026, and the browser extension followed in August 2026.
The company has no outside investor and no advertising partner, and it sells no data. It is paid by the people who subscribe, which is described further down.
Why we built it

The people
Bawe also writes the tutorials and help articles. Every guide carries that byline together with the date it was written and the date it was last revised, so you can tell how current the steps are.
If you write to [email protected] or use the contact form, a person at Greatbold reads it and replies. We aim to answer within 24 hours.
What has shipped
- June 2024. Work on GBpass begins.
- 13 May 2026. GBpass for Android is published on Google Play.
- 13 June 2026. Passkeys: save them in the vault and sign in with them on supported sites.
- 25 July 2026. A free plan for everyone with the same encryption as Personal. Guest mode retired, Personal price lowered, storage raised to 20 GB.
- August 2026. The browser extension: Firefox Add-ons on the 11th, the Chrome Web Store on the 15th, Microsoft Edge Add-ons on the 28th, and Brave through the Chrome listing.

How it is paid for
GBpass is funded by the Personal plan: $2.99 a month, or $23.88 a year. The free plan is not a trial and does not expire. It uses exactly the same encryption as Personal; the only difference between the two is how much storage you get.
There are no ads and no trackers, in the app or on this website, and your data is never sold. Because we cannot read what you store, there is nothing to sell in the first place. Details are on the pricing page and in the privacy policy.
What is not finished
GBpass runs on Android and in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Brave. There is no iPhone, desktop or web version yet. They are planned, and the release notes will say when each one ships, not before.
We have not published an independent security audit. Until we do, the security page describes the design in enough detail for you to judge it yourself, including the complete list of what our servers can and cannot see.
One limit is permanent by design: if you lose both your Master Password and your Recovery Kit, we cannot restore your account, because we never hold the keys. The Recovery Kit guide explains how to keep that from happening.
